Money plant, snake plant, monstera, holy basil, ZZ and more, raised in our own shade houses for three months before they reach you. Every plant comes in terracotta or ceramic, with a care card written for Bengaluru weather.

  1. 01 · Week 1

    Roots first, then the shoot.

    Seeds and cuttings start in cocopeat under 50% shade net at our Hoskote nursery. For the first week nothing seems to happen above the soil. Below it, the roots are doing all the work.

  2. 02 · Weeks 2 to 4

    Leaves unfurl one at a time.

    Every new monstera leaf arrives rolled up like a cigar and opens over a few days. The first ones are small hearts; the famous splits come with age. We never force growth with hormone sprays.

  3. 03 · Months 2 and 3

    Light and water, measured.

    Plants move from the shade house to a brighter bay so they are used to Indian flats before they leave us. Watering is by hand, by plant, not by timer. Overwatering kills more houseplants than anything else.

  4. 04 · Potting day

    Lifted into terracotta.

    We lift each plant with its root ball whole, settle it into fresh potting mix in the pot you chose, and let it rest two days before delivery. It reaches you looking like it has always lived there.

      Terracotta or ceramic?

      Both have a drainage hole and a saucer. The difference is how fast the soil dries.

      Terracotta

      Unglazed clay fired in Channapatna. It breathes, so the soil dries out faster and roots never sit wet.

      Best for snake plant, ZZ, aloe and holy basil, and anyone who tends to overwater.

      Ceramic

      Glazed stoneware in ivory or sage. Holds moisture longer and wipes clean, so it suits a bedroom or a work desk.

      Best for money plant, monstera and peace lily, and people who forget to water.

      Come walk the shade houses.

      The nursery is open to visitors on Sundays. Bring your old pots and we will repot your plants while you have tea.
