From spinning wheel to your bed.
- 01 · SpinHeritage cotton from Kutch is hand-spun on a spinning wheel in Ponduru. Uneven yarn is the point: it is what makes the cloth breathe.
- 02 · WeaveOn a pit loom the weaver throws the shuttle across 2,000 warp threads, one weft row at a time. A double bedsheet takes three days.
- 03 · WashThe cloth is washed in hot water and sun-dried twice, so it has already shrunk before it reaches you.
- 04 · StitchIn Ahmedabad our tailors hem every piece with a double-turned edge and a woven label. Then it is folded, never pressed flat.

Handspun Home works with spinners and weavers in Ponduru, Andhra Pradesh, and a stitching unit of eleven tailors in Ahmedabad. We pay per metre before the cloth is cut, buy whole looms’ worth at a time, and keep our range small so every colour stays in stock.
