Crayon Hill opened in a two-storey house in Vijay Nagar in 2016. Our teachers are trained in early childhood education, and most of them are mothers too. We follow a play-based curriculum: children learn letters, numbers and manners by doing, singing and making a mess.

A day at Crayon Hill.
Small children feel safe when the day has a shape. Every day follows the same gentle rhythm; scroll through it and watch the clock.

Hello!
Teachers meet each child at the gate. Shoes off, bag on its hook, then free play with blocks and puzzles while friends arrive.

Circle time
A good-morning song, today’s date and weather, and one child’s turn at show-and-tell.

Play
Garden, sand pit and swings, or the indoor play room on rainy days. Then a hands-on activity: clay, paint, sorting or pouring.

Snack
A lunchbox from home, eaten together at low tables. We share a weekly fruit list, and the school is nut-free.

Story
Picture books and puppets, in English on some days and Hindi on others. Then phonics or numbers through songs.

Home time
Half-day children go home with their diary note. Pick-up follows the rules in the safety section below.

Nap
Daycare children eat a hot lunch cooked in our kitchen, then nap on their own mats until 3. Quiet play and evening snack follow, till 6:30 pm.

Programmes & fees.
Three terms a year: June, October and January. A one-time admission fee of ₹4,000 covers the school bag, books and two T-shirts. No donation, no capitation fee.
Which class? Pick your child’s birth month and year.
On 1 June 2027 (when the new session starts), your child will be 4 years 0 months: Junior KG.

Safety, in plain words.
These are the rules we follow every day. Ask to see any of them, the registers included, when you visit.
CCTV
Cameras in every classroom, corridor, play area and at the gate; none in toilets. Recordings are kept for 30 days and can be viewed with a parent at the office on request.
Verified staff
Every teacher, helper, cook and guard is police-verified before joining, and two references are checked. Teachers hold a paediatric first-aid certificate, renewed every two years.
Pick-up rules
- You name up to three adults on your child’s pick-up card, with their photos.
- Anyone else needs a phone call from you to the office first, and shows a photo ID at the gate.
- We never hand a child to anyone under 18.
- Running late? Your child waits inside with a teacher, never at the gate.
Small groups
1 teacher and 1 helper for every 8 children in playgroup, 12 in KG. Only women helpers assist with toilet care.
One gate
A single entry with a guard and a visitor register. The gate closes at 9:15 am and opens again at pick-up time.
Health
Medicines only with a signed note from you. Each child’s allergies are listed in the kitchen and the classroom. The nearest hospital is 2 km away.
